Guernsey Clematis Nursery

Hagley Hybrid

Category: Our Clematis

Raised by Percy Picton when Head Gardener at Hagley Hall and introduced by Jim Fisk in 1956. This has already become a classical clematis due to its freeness to flower and compact habit. The rosy-mauve to shell pink 10cm (4in) wide flowers have four to six tepals which have pointed tips and dark red anthers. Sadly, the flowers fade quickly if planted in full sun, therefore a shady location is required for this plant.
