Guernsey Clematis Nursery

Montana Broughton Star

Category: Our Clematis

Raised and introduced by Vince and Sylvia Denny of Preston, England in 1988. Interesting foliage with trifoliate leaves which are deeply serrated, bronze when young. The very attractive semi-double to fully double flowers are most unusual for this group of clematis. The double 4-7cm (1.5-2.5in) wide flowers have four outer tepals with many inner tepals, forming a cup-shaped flower. They are deep dusky pink with slightly darker veins. Best in a sunny position. A useful cut flower for small flower arrangements. Unusual and worth growing.
